Gender Equality


Foreword


Gender equality protection is an essential value on which Zucchetti's culture and strategy are based.


This Policy defines the reference principles and commitments made by the company, in line with the requirements of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 guidelines (Guidelines on the management system for gender equality, which includes the adoption of specific Key Performance Indicators related to gender equality policies in organizations), for the protection and promotion of gender equality issues and the enhancement of diversity in the company's activities and the context in which it operates.


Principles and Measures


The company's commitment is guided by the following principles and measures:


  • Communication and Awareness: promoting activities aimed at adopting behaviors and language that ensure an inclusive work environment respectful of gender diversity, preventing the use of inappropriate and potentially discriminatory expressions;
  • Training: planning training interventions at all levels aimed at promoting Gender Equality and overcoming prejudices, including unconscious biases, based on gender issues;
  • STEM projects in collaboration with associations and institutions through initiatives of promotion, training, and learning aimed at students to address biases and prejudices that contribute to the current gender gap in the choice of scientific disciplines.
  • Awareness: assessing employees' perceptions of equal opportunities through the administration of questionnaires/surveys, promoting the creation of an environment open to dialogue and discussion;
  • Career Management: ensuring equal opportunities during selection, hiring, professional development, and termination stages, based solely on skills and professional levels;
  • Compensation Policies: applying fair and impartial compensation policies;
  • Work-life balance: recognizing the value of work-life balance by developing initiatives for parenting, caregiving, and the reconciliation of life and work schedules;
  • Reporting: implementing internal processes to protect the work environment, particularly with regard to incidents of harassment or bullying. Zucchetti, in order to investigate potential forms of non-inclusivity, has adopted a dedicated digital channel for managing reports confidentially (httPS://areariservata.mygovernance.it/#!/WB/zucchetti-abusi).
  • Monitoring: tracking progress and results through the establishment of specific KPIs in order to define the most appropriate and effective actions to achieve the defined objectives.

The Gender Equality Steering Committee ensures the effective adoption and continuous application of the Policy.


This Policy is made known internally and externally to the company organization through dedicated communication activities and publication on the company website. It will be subject to periodic review in consideration of its adequacy and effective implementation.
