ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), if we do not start adopting responsible behaviors toward the environment immediately, within twenty years our planet will reach the 'point of no return.' We are committed to adopting sustainable practices and behaviors, both through awareness initiatives for our staff and in conducting our activities, because we want to do our part to build a better world

We reduce plastic consumption and promote the use of recyclable materials

We have launched several initiatives to reduce plastic consumption in the company: from the introduction of biodegradable plastic bottles, cans, and recyclable paper cups to distributing water bottles to all staff, as well as collecting plastic bottle caps for charity.

Becoming increasingly digital to reduce paper consumption

We have digitized the main company documents by introducing the use of digital signatures. We have placed notices in the printers to encourage all employees to print documents only when necessary, and we have replaced traditional disposable towels in all restrooms with those made from recycled paper. We have converted our communication materials (brochures, flyers, etc.) into digital format and introduced a digital bulletin board.

Lower carbon dioxide emissions

We reduce CO2 because we want to breathe a cleaner life

There are many initiatives launched to reduce harmful CO2 emissions: from carpooling with colleagues for the commute to work, to purchasing electric cars, to using bicycles for travel between nearby locations, and the installation of over 120 video conferencing systems to connect more distant offices and avoid colleagues traveling by car. For the same reason, we have introduced stable forms of work such as smart working and flexible working.

SOCIAL IMPACT

Together for a sustainable future

Convinced that results and objectives can only be achieved with everyone's contribution, we have launched various awareness initiatives on environmental issues: from the BeGreen column included in the staff newsletter, to agreements for the subsidized purchase of eco-sustainable products and/or services, to the dissemination of best practices for proper waste sorting.

ENERGY SAVING

We work better in our sustainable offices; the future is here!

The greatest demonstration of our commitment to reducing energy consumption is represented by the Zucchetti Tower in Lodi, one of the group's main offices and the first LEED-certified building in the province.

Born from the renovation of an energy-intensive building from the 1970s, it is now an example of efficiency and a model of environmental compatibility. The building has been awarded the European Property Award and received a mention from the American Architecture Prize 2016 for sustainable architecture. Special attention has been given to environmental issues and energy savings. Sustainable and renewable energy sources have been prioritized. The south facade is completed with photovoltaic panels produced by the company that supplied the solar panels for the orbiting space station. The total power of the photovoltaic system is 200 kW, equivalent to 66 average residential meters. Consumption is continuously monitored through ZEnergy, the Zucchetti energy management software for tracking consumption, environmental parameters, and analyzing energy efficiency

We promote an inclusive culture

Managing people inclusively and effectively is a fundamental goal for us. That’s why our corporate Code of Ethics includes the protection of gender diversity, worker safety, and the prevention of corruption. To promote gender equality, we adopt equality policies and commit to following the Guidelines for Gender Equality Certification UNI PdR 125:2022. A Steering Committee facilitates the integration of these practices into all business processes, including those related to culture, human resource management, and work-life balance.

We love to do our job well by continuously striving for the highest quality in our products and services. We love to do good by being attentive to the needs of the less fortunate. This commitment is also reflected in our social initiatives: from funding university scholarships for students from economically disadvantaged families to donations to non-profit organizations, healthcare facilities, schools, and more.

Payroll Giving

We believe in scientific research

We believe that research is the engine of human and technological progress, which is why we employ over 2,000 people in Research & Development. From this conviction arose our collaboration with the Telethon Foundation, the Italian biomedical charity that funds scientific research for the treatment of rare genetic diseases. This partnership led us to create the first Payroll Giving project branded Zucchetti, which allows all employees of companies using Zucchetti payroll software to donate quickly and automatically

USED COMPUTERS

Green and social commitment

To further promote the circular economy and extend the lifespan of company equipment, we make our refurbished PCs available to local organizations and institutions. We also support educational paths by providing decommissioned company PCs to the children of our employees who are of school age.
