Zucchetti Spain acquires 100% of the manufacturer Arión, with this operation the first Italian software company Zucchetti Group consolidates its strategic growth plan in Spain
- The Human Resources solution of ARIÓN GRUPO BAS SOFTWARE FACTORY S.L., has a very important penetration in both the public and private sectors
- The operation represents a significant competitive advantage for Arion, which achieves a greater capacity for action and access to the Zucchetti Group's powerful catalogue of solutions
Bilbao, October 8, 2020 - Recently, Zucchetti Spain, the reference among national manufacturers of management software, has taken over 100% of ARIÓN GRUPO BAS SOFTWARE FACTORY S.L., the manufacturer of BAS ERP. This purchase operation is part of Zucchetti Spain's strategic plan to continue growing in the Spanish market and thus strengthen its position in the Payroll and HR sector.
Arión is a Spanish company founded in 1991 by a group of professionals from multinationals in the technology and consultancy fields. Its activity has been focused on the development, installation, and maintenance of Human Resources solutions, achieving a strong presence in the national market.
Joining the Zucchetti Group, an important reinforcement for Arion's strategy
The acquisition of 100% of Arión is a very important reinforcement for the company's growth strategy. Its main competitive advantage lies in its specialisation in Human Resources Management in a broad sense. Among its solutions, a very specific one for Payroll Management and Personnel Administration stands out, which has been implemented in large companies and public administrations in our country with great success, such as the Regional Government of Castilla y León, with the payment of salaries for more than 100,000 employees, Barceló or Adecco, among others.
Its strength lies in the powerful instruments for management and decision-making related to Human Capital that Arión makes available to its clients. Its solutions are clearly oriented towards simplifying and optimising complex processes, in an area where the pressure of the legal, fiscal and technological environment is tremendously high. Flexibility and simplicity when managing the constant changes and turbulence of the environment is the product's hallmark.
According to Juan Manuel Rufino, CEO and founder of the company, "The integration into Zucchetti Spain is a very well thought out and well worked out operation as our product required us to board a deep sea vessel that would allow us to compete on equal terms with the large companies in the sector. The philosophy of David vs Goliath is very heroic and bucolic, but unnecessary at a time when companies require powerful and solvent technological allies to face the essential digitalisation of their businesses. Zucchetti Spain, and the professional and human values it transmits, represent the culmination of our expectations in this exciting stage that is beginning".Justino Martinez, General Manager of Zucchetti Spain, said: "Zucchetti Spain has looked at Arión because it is a company with its own HR solutions, especially in payroll for large companies, and because it has a significant number of clients in both the public and private sectors and an excellent, highly qualified team. We share values such as innovation, transparency, and quality, key aspects for Zucchetti Spain and to which we have always dedicated important resources. With the incorporation of Arión we continue to strengthen the foundations of the Zucchetti Group's growth in Spain. The sum total of our own products plus those that we are incorporating from the Zucchetti Group, allows us to make available to our distributors, customers and the market in general an offer that is difficult to match by our competitors".
The Zucchetti Group relies on Zucchetti Spain to lead its growth in the Spanish market.
Zucchetti's entry into the Spanish market began with the incorporation of Solmicro in 2016 and continued with the incorporation of IDS Ingeniería de Sistemas and i68 in 2018, a strategy that is now being consolidated with the incorporation of Arión. As a result, Zucchetti Spain now has a turnover of 16 million euros, 220 employees and more than 2,200 customers, and continues to work to continue growing both organically and inorganically. For its part, the Zucchetti Group is the leading Italian software company, with a turnover of 850 million euros, 6,000 employees, 600,000 clients and 2,000 partners. It has its own companies, in addition to Spain, in France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Brazil, the United Kingdom and the USA, and is present in over 50 countries through its more than 350 partners outside Italy.
Its innovative offer of ERP, CRM, HR management, robotics, POS solutions for the hotel and retail industry, automation, Internet of Things (IoT), M2M and access control and video surveillance systems makes the Zucchetti Group one of the leading software companies at European level.
Luca Scanu, CEO of Data Management, a Zucchetti Group company that leads the international payroll market within the group, says: "The Zucchetti Group considers Spain to be a key country for the international growth of its HCM business, and this project is being addressed by creating strong local capabilities and leveraging the Group's cutting-edge technologies in the areas of administration and human resource management. The acquisition of Arión is an important step towards consolidating this strategy that was initiated some time ago.
In the words of Enrico Itri, Director of Zucchetti's International Business Unit: "The acquisition of Arion reinforces the Zucchetti Group's growth path in Spain, a strategic country for the Group where we have focused on different products of our international offer. This new stage offers great future expectations to Arión, its customers and employees by joining the Zucchetti project and its growth strategy in Spain".
