Zucchetti Spain Joins the Challenge of Accelerating the Employment of Women at Risk of Exclusion in Spain

Zucchetti Spain Joins the Challenge of Accelerating the Employment of Women at Risk of Exclusion in Spain.

- 6.5 million women are at risk of social exclusion and/or poverty in our country, which is 27.2% of the total.

- Family responsibilities, higher rates of inactivity, higher unemployment, and part-time jobs with lower income levels are the main causes for a greater risk of exclusion among women.

- Zucchetti Spain once again joins the 2024 Women's Week organized by the Adecco Foundation, an initiative that brings together the commitment of around 100 companies around the great challenge of women's employment inclusion.

Bilbao, March 8, 2024. - On International Women's Day, Zucchetti Spain takes a significant step towards the inclusion of women facing greater difficulties, supporting and collaborating with the 2024 Women's Week promoted by the Adecco Foundation. An important initiative with a dual objective: to accelerate the labor inclusion of women with greater difficulties accessing employment, and to raise awareness and involve the business community to generate more inclusive work environments.

The software manufacturer joins an alliance of around a hundred committed companies to work with the Adecco Foundation in identifying job opportunities for women at risk of exclusion.

All this in a context where 6.5 million women in Spain (27.2% of the total) are at risk of social exclusion, with unemployment being the main trigger. Among men, the figure drops to 24.8% of the total (5.7 million). The reason for this gap lies in the predominant role of women in family responsibilities, which leads to higher rates of inactivity, a higher unemployment rate, and many part-time jobs, resulting in lower income levels.

In order to raise awareness about this reality, Zucchetti Spain supports the awareness campaign "Born for Exclusion?" launched by the Adecco Foundation, which conveys a powerful message: the greater risk of exclusion that women face from birth, and how employment is the quintessential element to move forward.

An Intensive Program to Promote the Employment of Women at Risk of Exclusion
As part of this 2024 Women's Week, Zucchetti Spain supports the intensive job intermediation program developed by the Adecco Foundation to promote the professional skills of women at risk of exclusion, through workshops led by experts, mentoring, and employment motivation sessions.

"At Zucchetti Spain, we are aware of the responsibility that companies have in the labor inclusion of women facing greater difficulties. That is why we are proud to maintain our commitment to the Adecco Foundation and support this initiative once again. In addition to actively supporting the dissemination of the awareness campaign, several employees of our company participate as volunteers in mentoring and training initiatives with women at risk of exclusion. Because we believe in the importance of working for a fairer society, once again we join the Adecco Foundation on International Women's Day," says Isabel Busto, Deputy CEO of the software company.

"Companies play a fundamental role in the challenge of equalizing the situation of women in the labor market, eliminating historical barriers that have traditionally hindered their full inclusion. We are firmly convinced that initiatives like the 2024 Women's Week, in which Zucchetti Spain collaborates, considerably accelerate this challenge, uniting the commitment of organizations that, as job creators and benchmarks in Spain, are aware that women's employment is not only a matter of social justice but also an essential engine of competitiveness and economic growth," says Francisco Mesonero, general manager of the Adecco Foundation.
