In Rome, the 2012 edition of the Italian International Tennis Championships has just ended, being the most important tournament of the ATP circuit held in our country and that benefits from the participation of all the best players in the world.
Once again, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova did not disappoint their fans, winning the single male and the single female title respectively, and a special award should be granted to the public present during the event, which, despite the weather wasn't always mild, has filled up the Foro Italico in order to support their favorites.
'Once again, for this important event, spectators access control was assigned to Zucchetti; - says Gilberto Polledri, responsible for Zucchetti security and automation systems' as a matter of fact, starting with Saturday, the 12th of May, until Monday, the 21st of May, considering the daily and evening sessions, we have managed for the Italian International Tennis Championships 300,000 complete accesses, tickets and service passes, with 85 WIFI and EDGE palmtops with barcode reader, managed by our central software installed in the Zucchetti data center'. Domenico Uggeri, Vice president of Zucchetti, highlights the means by which Zucchetti has become a reference point for the management of security systems for important events: 'Besides the Italian International Tennis Championships, we have managed the TIM CUP football final, which took place between Juventus and Napoli, on Sunday the 20th of May at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
We have recorded 60,000 complete entrances and in this case as well, our well-timed and professional service was greatly appreciated by the organizers.
Basically, Zucchetti was entrusted with the access control of two of the biggest sports events in May that were held in Italy'.
The Italian software house has also installed a fixed access control system at the Assago Forum in Milan and at the Pala Isozaky in Turin, the two main arenas for indoor concerts in Italy. From the beginning of the year, Zucchetti has managed entrances of spectators during the concerts of some of the most famous Italian singers.
