ZUCCHETTI, WORLDWIDE LEADER IN THE STADIUM
ACCESS CONTROL FIELD, HAS EXCEEDED THE 100 QUOTA
The company has reached this prestigious target with the installations in 8 stadiums in Qatar and in other 20 sports facilities of the Italian PRO League in 2011
Zucchetti's path in the security field goes on ceaselessly and in a definitively high paced manner. In fact, in 2011, the Italian company celebrates the target of over 100 stadiums equipped with its access control solutions.
Actually, 8 stadiums in Qatar, host of the Asian Cup, have been added to the 70 sports venues automated in the previous years, and 20 more in Italy, related mostly to PRO League clubs.
"We are absolute leaders in Italy for stadium access control solutions - states Gilberto Polledri, in charge with the security systems for stadiums - because we manage projects for any type of structure: from the largest ones, such as the Olympic stadium in Rome, the Ferraris Stadium in Geneva, the Franchi Stadium in Florence and the Olympic Stadium in Turin, to the smallest ones, where clubs take part to minor tournaments.
Certain clubs, which did not turn to us in the beginning, have contacted us later on as they acknowledged not only the quality of Zucchetti systems from the software and hardware point of view, but also the high level of professionalism and a competent and precise technical support for any demand."
Also, in regards to the positive experience gathered this year in Qatar, on the occasion of the Asian Cup, Zucchetti aims at expanding its presence abroad and present itself as a provider for the most important international sports events.
"Our access control solutions for stadiums can easily be integrated with any type of ticketing service in order to allow an immediate validity check of the entrance tickets - explains Domenico Uggeri, Zucchetti Vice-president - and they have already been used abroad, meeting the expectations of the foreign clubs that have chosen us.
In Italy, over 50% of the A Series teams and 80% of the B Series teams use Zucchetti systems, together with more than 60 clubs of the PRO League; however, the worldwide potential market is still very wide, particularly as far as the emerging countries are concerned. I especially refer to Brazil, which will host the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016, events for which it will be necessary to equip the South American sports facilities with the most cutting-edge security systems and turn to suppliers which, like Zucchetti, have all the technological credentials for offering ultimate reliability to organizers and spectators."
